The office is headed by David Wong, Managing Director and serviced by sector officers.

    The Alberta China Office (ACO) is one of four offices that together make up the Greater China Team. The ACO was established in 1999 and is housed within the Canadian Embassy in Beijing. The other three offices, the China National Petroleum Corporation-Alberta Petroleum Center - Alberta Petroleum Center (CAPC), the Alberta Hong Kong Office and the Alberta Taipei Office are also part of the team.

    The Alberta China Office helps promote trade and investment opportunities between Alberta and the People's Republic of China. The ACO works to create a business environment for big and small enterprise alike and actively seeks cooperation with government and business entities to maximize Alberta's opportunities.

Providing market studies, market research reports, and market intelligence on opportunities for selected products and services in order to assist companies develop and execute their marketing plans.
Provide consultation on local business practices and advice on language and cultural considerations to Alberta firms wishing to do business in China.
Assist Alberta companies with identifying potential business partners, business introductions, referrals and appointments, meeting arrangements, hotel accommodations, arrangements for interpreters, etc.
Provide information and assistance with complying with Chinese government trade laws and regulations.
   Our fully bilingual commercial officers are experts in various segments of the Chinese economy and continually keep up to date with the latest developments in Alberta.
